Hog Rock Bar-B-Q in Phenix City

It took my girlfriend 45 minutes to order and pick up 5 sandwiches

Yummy BBQ sandwich--chopped. Seasoned crinkle fries and big ol cup of tea. FIVE bucks. Good eating and good value. Now I spend 18 plus most times I visit because my wife orders a Whole chef salad pork only with a side of fries (I ain't sharing) and a drink. Still good value 'cause the salad is huge. She does share some salad with me. But not her fries.

What a great quick stop with excellent food had a good deal $$

Stopped in 20 minutes before closing time. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Debbie has great customer service.

I showed up 2-3 hours before they closed, and as I was walking up, they locked the door on me with no explanation. Just seemed incredibly rude. I drove nearly an hour for their banana pudding after getting my wisdom teeth removed, so that’s too bad. Leaving two stars for their decent sandwiches and amazing pudding.

I had to quit going there unfortunally, after years of loving the place. I had too many undercooked hotwings and their staff seems disinterested in even being there, cutting up and playing.

The BBQ sauce tastes like water down mustard I didnt eat my BBQ , however my boys said the wings was good. A positive was that the homemade peanut butter pie was pretty amazing! The wait was long and the staff need to communicate a little better between each other on the orders.

Great BBQ and Smoked Ham Sandwich, always stop by when passing through. Worth the drive.

My family has tried multiple BBQ restaurants within a few miles and this one has been our most favorite from pricing to quantity of food to quality and may I say number 1 quality of the service the staff never fails to update a customer on delay or lack of sauce wether take out or dine in service wonderful.

Awesome food here, the onion rings are to die for! Tender barbecue, good Brunswick stew, staff is friendly, and the dining room is clean. We will be back!!!

Went in with 10 minutes til closing. Girls were great, food was great. Thank goodness they had bread, lol.

They have the BEST BBQ salad ever~There is enough for 2ppl on the plate...Very clean and wonderful staff💗

I've never been more satisfied with any restaurant as much as I have with this one. During this pandemic the employees here went above and beyond to help me. I have truly appreciated their dedication to help myself and others. God love them all.

Great BBQ, great atmosphere, and great customer service. You can't beat their 5 sandwiches for 5 dollars deal. Their steak sandwich is the bomb! They are so nice and friendly while staying completely professional. This place is called hog rock because it ROCKS! The peanut butter pie is so delicious some would kill for just a piece. And they support both Auburn and Alabama fans by hanging decorations from both. Katie said the pie is amazing! Thank you for reading my review and hope you enjoy your BBQ.

So. Darn. Delicious! Our family was traveling back from Florida to Missouri and stopped to grab lunch & I'm glad we chose this spot (a gem). A sweet young woman (Savannah) greeted us when we walked in. Their menu was cheap for the portion served 👍🏼👍🏼. All tables had a hot sauce and BBQ sauce. The restaurant was clean. There were plenty of tables to accommodate the lunch rush. Our kiddos got tenders and fries, my husband got the pork platter, & I got the turkey sandwich. We were all impressed with our food. The ladies working behind the counter were friendly and helpful. This is the kind of spot we need in STL. Way to go Hog Rock! Thank you for the great food and hospitality!!
